Can I explain the ROI of a fractional CTO in less than a minute. Well, I best be able to so here goes.
The job of any C “whatever” O is to get the business better at whatever the “whatever” is. CMOs help businesses get better at marketing, CFOs help businesses get better at finance. CTOs help businesses get better at delivering digital products.
Full-time C “whatever” Os is that they are expensive and fully strategic. Fractional C “whatever” Os are part-time, ad hoc, and are used tactically – but STILL are used to get better at whatever the “whatever” is.
The are used tactically to get you BETTER at the thing you want to get better at immediately, and quickly. At the life-stage I work at, most of my clients need to get VERY GOOD at building an MVP, or VERY GOOD at getting investment quickly.
It is short, sharp, tactical work to get you to an objective, but the ROI – i.e. what you are paying for –is about RELIABILTY or CERTAINTY, not just from me, but from my sibling Fractional CTOs as well.
